Summer in the City

Summer in the City

As if the nearness of the Atlanta Beltline, Atlanta Botanical Garden, and Piedmont Park were not enough, and if being neighbors to the never-a-dull-moment High Museum of Art were just a nice to have, the incomparable Atlanta Midtown condos of Atlantic are bestowed also with a calendar of summer events that makes escaping the city during summer not only unnecessary, but also perhaps unwise.

Just for starters, June alone is packed with interests and diversions to engage every kind of inclination that residents of Atlanta high-rise condos might harbor, from movies to markets to a children’s playtime event to some Father’s Day shopping that will answer the call for dads who already have everything.

Every Weekend

Friday Night Live is a music and dance party, outdoors on Atlantic Green, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday in June. Find your groove with some of Atlanta’s best bands and enjoy the refreshment of a cash-and-card bar, serving right on site. Check out the lineup of bands and gather more details at atlanticstation.com.

Atlantic Green is also the locale for Makers Market, a weekend celebration of the creativity that keeps Atlanta new from season to season, year to year, and generation after generation. Hand-crafted products from jewelry to home décor, thoughtful gifts, and tasty treats are different every time, so no visit is ever routine. Makers Market takes place Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays noon to 7 p.m. from now through December, and no two markets are ever quite the same. And it all happens just steps from the finest luxury condos in Atlanta Midtown.

More Market

For a far more limited time, Atlantic Station plays host to a Midnight Market 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11. A pop-up food festival that originated in New York City, the Midnight Market adds roller skating, with skate rentals, free games, DJs, and a sprinkling of bars and tasty food stops all across the Pinnacle Lot. The works of artisans for sale and treats from 20 local vendors and food trucks complete the scene of this event for ages 21 and older.

Something Completely Different

At the other end of the age and interest spectrum, the monthly Tot Spot is a kind of public play date from 10 a.m. to noon for children aged 5 and under. Free crafts, sing-alongs, snacks, and themed experiences for the little ones, and discount cards for restaurants and retailers reward the parents when they attend. The next Tot Spot is June 14.

Movies Outdoors

Screen on the Green is the name of a family-friendly film series presented at 6:30 p.m., twice a month, outdoors on the Atlantic Green. Blanket, chairs, and your favorite movie snacks set you up to enjoy this month’s selections on Thursday, June 9, and Thursday, June 23. Find out more and pick the movies and dates you don’t want to miss at atlanticstation.com.

And None of the Above

Some say the ultimate luxury is choice, and the residents fortunate to call the high-rise luxury of Atlantic their home enjoy the choice of staying right there. The expansive views, wide horizons, and considerate amenities and services available to them make it difficult, at times, to go elsewhere.
